CGO Announces Fursa Beta Grant Recipients, Expanding Award to Four African NGOs Across the Continent

CGO, an Africa-focused communications and technology firm dedicated to economic empowerment and sustainable development, today announced the results of the Fursa Beta Grant – and expanded the original award to recognise four outstanding organisations instead of one.

The Fursa Beta Grant was created to give African NGOs and civil society organisations working with youth, women, and emerging professionals early access to Fursa, CGO's new Afro-centric digital platform. Fursa (opportunity in Swahili) is built to connect Africa's fast-growing talent pool to jobs, skills, mentors, networks, and cross-border opportunities through a single ecosystem. In a continent where growth without connection leaves too many people behind, platforms like Fursa are more than a convenience; they are infrastructure.

The grant drew applications from organisations in 33 countries, spanning rural and urban settings from east to west and north to south, a response that speaks to the depth of demand for tools that bridge Africa's opportunity gaps.

Following a rigorous shortlisting and interview process, CGO is proud to announce the following recipients:

  • Wave 1 (200–250 Fursa Premium accounts): Humanity Hands

  • Wave 2 (150–200 accounts each): I Care for the Nation, Northern Development Society, Future-Preneurs Zambia

Each organisation will receive an allocation of Fursa Premium accounts, dedicated onboarding, and ongoing support from the CGO team. CGO will also be launching dedicated opportunities for all other grant applicants before the end of the year.
