CGO – Chief Global Officers – is seeking a Social Media Manager (Part-Time/ Remote) to oversee current and planned social media channels for the organization, helping to grow the firm's audience, drive engagement, and build a community for future outreach efforts.

​

We are actively seeking and encouraging candidates from the African continent, though all geographic locations will be considered.

​

Job responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating with CGO executive team on messaging and goals for social channels

• Creating a medium and long-term strategy for social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)

• Researching and writing social media posts, including fact-checking information

• Outreach to targeted individuals and organizations whose interests and work may align with the firm's

• Potential development and deployment of ad campaigns to increase audience and engagement

Applicants should have:​

• Native level of English

• Knowledge and/ or curiosity about the African continent, including integration efforts under AfCFTA

• Experience managing multiple social media channels for an organization or business

• Copywriting, journalism, or previous paid writing experience

• Fact-checking and research skills

• Previous remote work experience

This is a contract position (initial probationary period of 3 months), renewable based on performance, and with possibilities for future growth with the organization.
